Duopharma will distribute anti-hair loss products in South Korea through Duopharma

Duopharma Biotech Bhd has entered into a product distribution agreement to distribute anti-hair loss products in Malaysia through wholly-owned Duopharma Consumer Healthcare Sdn Bhd.

The Iroro brand, which is halal-certified for anti-hair loss products, uses stem cell technology to create a range that caters to Malaysian markets. Duopharma Consumer will distribute the Nutreatment Anti Hair Loss Shampoo and Nutreatment Anti Hair Loss Shampoo for Men and Women. Nutreatment Anti Hair Loss Treatment, Nutreatment Anti Hail Loss Serum, and Nutreatment AntiHair Loss Treatment are also available.

Leonard Ariff Abdul Shatar, managing director of Duopharma Biotech Group, said that the agreement allowed the company to enter the cosmoceutical market in the country.

He stated that Duopharma Biotech’s 2.73 percent investment in SCM Lifescience has led to his commitment to optimize their findings, particularly in stem cell research. This will allow him to increase the quality of our consumer products, giving us a distinct advantage on the market.

SCM Lifescience is also working with the company to develop stem cell therapy for atopic dermatitis. He said, “Through the introductions of the Iroro products, we are laying groundwork for this product category ahead of a possible launch of products to treat allergic dermatitis.”

According to the company, Iroro’s stem cell could promote hair growth and scalp improvement. Dr Byong Kwan, chief executive officer of SCM Lifescience, stated that there are many factors that can cause hair loss in individuals.

“We are confident in Iroro’s efficacy and eager to see Malaysians overcome hair loss. He said, “We expect that this product range will become the first among many products made available to Malaysians by our research and development partnership with Duopharma Consumer.”

In the first quarter next year, Iroro’s product range will be made available to Malaysian consumers via e-commerce platforms.
